The autograph, a draft score, and sketches apparently associated with this version have been preserved.

There is a version for symphony orchestra dated twelve days later, on June 19, 1931. Revueltas did a revised edition of it in 1932.
Confusing this score with a reduction of the orchestral version, the composer’s sister Rosaura Revueltas wrote the note “reduction” ahead of the subtitle “For string orchestra” on the cover of the original manuscript.
